Yeah, I've seen him...but where's Carl been? I don't think I've seen him for about a week. Of course, I haven't been around all that much.

Surely he can't be on vacation again! He just had a long weekend up in the sticks.
Hope everything's ok.

Thanks for the concern folks - contrary to popular rumor I am alive and well. Tend to pop in here during the day time these days. Have access to the internet at work so when I fancy a quick break from work I'll pop in. The other reason is that I'm learning Perl programming at work and after a day of staring at that on the pc, it puts me off using the pc when I get home.

I was wondering if that may have been it. I thought I remember you mentioning that you were having comp troubles. I think you mentioned that Dell sucks too. Randy is having the same problem I guess. That sucks. Good luck getting up and running again.

And to answer Dan's question, I have been in computer hell for the past few weeks. I don't have a working machine at home anymore, thanks to Dell being the shitiest company in the world, and it's "customer service" being about as good as calling my local 7-11 for help, same accent and result, except at 7-11 O might get a free Slurpee. Fuck Dell. 4 hard drives in less than 2 years is unacceptable, and they do shit about it.
Then at work all of the computers went down for about a week. Yea.
So, I am struggling along and trying to find a reasonable way of building my own computer. I will start with a new hard drive, and pray that I get a new mother board before the old one from Dell chooses to kill this new hard drive also. It's a race against time, and I'm losing.

Oh, I'll be up and running again, I just need to buy new computer parts and crap. It's not a matter of finding the problem, as I know that the problem is that Dell sucks donkey ass.
